Q1. How do I open a DSL account? A1.To open a DSL account, client will
need to complete two forms namely; The DSL Individual or Corporate Account
opening form in addition to the CSCS Stock account opening
form.
Q2. What are the documentations required for the
account to be opened.
A2.The documentations required for the
submission of the account opening forms include; One recent passport
photograph, photocopy of a valid means of Identification e.g. Data page of
valid international passport or Driver's license, that is for individual
account, while for corporate account, we require the Company's certificate
of Incorporation, Signature mandate, passport photographs of authorized
signatories in addition to Company's Board
Resolution.
Q3. Is it possible to buy shares immediately
the DSL individual or corporate account is opened?
A3. In addition to the Diamond
Securities account, clients are required to also maintain a CSCS account
for transactions of the secondary market to be executed on their
behalf.
Q4. What is CSCS?
A4. CSCS is an acronym for Central
Securities Clearing Systems. CSCS provides central depository and custodian
facilities for storage and management, clearing and settlement of
securities transactions in the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
